We meet up at the Compton Abbas Airfield, Ashmore, SP5 5AP by 10.30am, and park in the allocated display paddock. Members to pre-order brunch that will be served at 11.00am in the ‘Lore of the Sky’ (menu will be available soon) and you will be paying your own way on the day (2 day’s notice of cancellations of food needed to avoid costs being payable). There will then be time to wander within the viewing area and watch the airfield action. The second half of this trip involves a working factory,. We will leave the Airfield at around 1pm to travel 3 miles to ‘Smiths Farm’ Ashley SP5 5AA to visit ‘Grovely Puzzles Ltd’ (Jigsaws) for a conducted tour of the factory starting at 1.30pm. We are limited to 26 people attending due to health and safety concerns so it will be first come first served After the tour we will have tea and cake provided by our host Julie. The tour cost is £16/head CASH on the day, and should you wish to purchase puzzles they will also be CASH on the day. Depart around 4pm.  Jim Finch

Our RWW starts at Fairweather's Garden Centre in Beaulieu, SO42 7YB, meeting at 10.30 for refreshments. We set off at 11.00 for a planned drive of about 40 miles through some really nice and varied parts of the forest, visiting the sites of some of the 12 WW2 airfields as we go. The last airfield we visit is Stoney Cross near Cadnam. As Forestry England are now charging for using their car parks (https://www.forestryengland.uk/new-forest/parking-information we will finish at the Sir Water Tyrrell at Brook (SO43 7HD), where there is the option of food and drink if you wish. Again, this will take place at the Scout field in Copythorne between 11.00 am and 3 pm. This is our usual venue, Stanley’s Own Scout HQ, Romsey Road, Copythorne, Southampton. SO40 2PB. A gas BBQ will be available for cooking your food, Toilets and tea making facilities are available, along with trees for shade, if necessary, and picnic tables. We look forward to meeting you all. Make sure your Healey is in top shape for the Concourse judging! If some of you would be good enough to bring along cakes for afternoon teas, that would be superb.   Brian Loades
