We are planning to visit Longford Castle at Bodenham (just outside Salisbury). As we are classed as a Special Interest Group we can drive ourselves there and park at the front of the Castle. We visited it in 2019 - it is a very interesting private home not available to the general public except a few set days each year. The guided tour will start at 10.30 and lasts 2 hours. The cost of the guided tour is £16.00 pp. There are only a limited number of places so you must book before 1 May to avoid disappointment. After the tour there will be lunch at The Radnor Arms, Nunton. Bookings to be made directly to David Tofts who will then forward the lunch menu to you when it is available.  David Tofts

The Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club will hold their 48th Scottish Transport Extravaganza in the magnificent grounds of Glamis Castle. This event is regarded as the premier vintage motoring spectacular in Scotland and is one of the largest of its kind in Britain. Contact Ian Walker to book your place on the AHC Stand.  Ian Walker

The National Concours will return to Yorkshire Elegance again this year, this time at Grantley Hall near Ripon, HG4 3ET. The concours will take place between 10:00 and 15:00. We’ve decided to run a picnic this year for the annual Centre Concours. As last year, it will take place at the Scout Field in Copythorne (just down the road from the Empress at What3Words ///caps.slang.fond). Please bring your own drinks and food, and any portable BBQ you may wish to use when you arrive around 11.00. We’ll aim to eat at around 1pm. As is traditional, if some of you would be good enough to bring along cakes for afternoon teas it would be much appreciated. Again we will also hold the annual Centre Concours after we've eaten, and there will be a special prize for the best New Member’s Healey.  Jim Palmer

This years BBQ and drive is planned to start and finish at Gawsworth Hall in Cheshire with a bespoke guided tour of this unique Tudor hall in the morning and our own private BBQ in the beautiful grounds after a 2 hour drive around the scenic Peak District. Price £30pp includes refreshments, tour, driving route and BBQ. Bring your own picnic lunch or stop for a bite in the afternoon drive. Limited to 40 places.
