Welcome to the Austin Healey Sprite Mk1 60th Birthday Celebration.
This event, whilst organised by the Austin Healey Club UK is open to all Austin Healey and Midget / Sprite car clubs to attend. We welcome all classic car enthusiasts from whichever car club you belong to join our event here at Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb in the heart of the Teme Valley in Worcestershire, home of The Midlands Automobile Club.
We hope you will enjoy the day of activities we have put together.
If you are going up the hill you will have the assistance of our Hillclimb team on hand to give help and advice in advance. You will be required to sign-on and attend the driver briefing from the MAC team that will manage the hill all day. If you would like to have a passenger ride up the hill we have a number of experienced drivers from the clubs own hillclimb group who will be happy to sort that out for you.
If you are here just to watch the action there are plenty of places for you to go to do just that. Watch experienced members of our own hillclimb section in addition to drivers from other Clubs. We also have members looking to get involved in hillclimbing and hoping to gain valuable experience and advice from the day. Finally we have members that just want to experience driving their cars up the hill. So there is plenty to see, add to this the Concours to find the best car at the show and the live entertainment at lunchtime, your day will be filled with Classic car fun.
We will also have a trade area where our parts suppliers and others will tempt you with their wares and you must not forget to visit the Mill open for you to visit. Manned by volunteers known as “Dibnah’s” who maintain and run this fourteenth centaury water powered corn mill which was used to grind animal feed up until 1923.
We are very pleased to announce a special guest appearance from Fuzz Townshend from Car S.O.S. and The Daisy Belles will be performing on the main stage at lunchtime and again in the afternoon.
Please note that advance booking for this event is now closed and tickets are being posted out. This is to allow to us to get things ready for both the concours and hillclimb. Spectator day passes will be on the day available for £15 per person (cash only).
